The BIOS Recovery Boot Block is a special block of BIOS which is used to boot up the system with minimum BIOS initialization. Users can enable this feature to restore the BIOS firmware to a successful one in the case that the BIOS flashing process fails.
The system provides a function hotkey: Fn+Esc, for enabling the BIOS Recovery process when the system is powered on during BIOS POST. To use this function, it is strongly recommended to have both the AC adapter and Battery plugged in. If this function is enabled, the system will force the BIOS to enter a special BIOS block called Boot Block.
A USB crisis disk can be used to recover system BIOS in the event of the BIOS being corrupted. To create the crisis disk use the following steps:
When CRISIS is complete, the system auto restarts with a workable BIOS.
4. Update to the latest version of BIOS for this machine by the regular BIOS flashing process.
