Removing the Hard Disk Drive Module

  1. See "Removing the Battery Pack" on page 44.
  2. Remove the HDD cover, See "Removing the Lower Covers" on page 44.
  3. Use the pull-tab to pull and lift the hard disk drive module out of the bay.

NOTE: To prevent damage to device, avoid pressing down on it or placing heavy objects on top of it.

  1. Remove the four screws securing the hard disk to the carrier in reverse numerical order, from 4 to 1.

  1. Insert a screw driver under the Thermal Module, as shown, and gently separate the module from the CPU.
