Disassembling the Main Unit

  1. Remove the four screws that secure the launch board.
  2. Then take the launch board off the main unit.
  3. Disconnect the lid switch cable.
Wireless Card Acer Aspire 1350
  1. Disconnect the wireless LAN antenna.
  2. Pop out the wireless LAN card.
  1. Disconnect the inverter cable from the main unit.
  2. Remove the two screws that secure the LCD coaxial cable.
  3. Then disconnect the LCD coaxial cable.
  1. Remove the two screws holding the rounting(routing) plate.
  2. Then remove the rounting(routing) plate.
  1. Pull out the Blustooth antenna carefully.
  2. Take out the Bluetooth antenna as picture shows.

13. Remove one screw that secures the ground cable.

  1. Remove the two screws that secure the LCD module on one side.
  2. Then remove another two screws one another side.
  3. Detach the entire LCD module.
Travelmate 4270 Disassembly Instruction
  1. Remove one screw on the rear on one side.
  2. Then remove another screw on another side.
  3. Detach the upper case assembly carefully.
  1. Disconnect the touchpad board cable(black) from the main board.
  2. Disconnect the touchpad board cable(black) from the touchpad board(scroll board).
  3. Disconnect the touchpad cable(white) from the the touchpad board(scroll board).

  1. Remove the four screws that secure the thermal module according to order.
  2. Then remove the thermal module as picture shows.
  3. Disconnect the two fan cables then take out the thermal module.
  1. Remove the four screws holding the ODD tray.
  2. Then remove the ODD tray.
  1. Remove the four screws holding the FDD-HDD tray.
  2. Then remove the FDD-HDD tray.
  1. Disconnect the speaker cable from the main board.
  2. Remove the two screws that secure the right and left speakers.
  3. Then take out the speakers.
  1. Remove the four hexagon screws on the rear as picture shows.
  2. Then take out the main board.
Northbridge Acer Aspire 7520
  1. Remove the four screws holding the Northbridge heat sink on the main board back.
  2. Then take off the Northbridge heat sink.
  1. Remove the four screws that secure the PCMCIA slot.
  2. Then detach the PCMCIA slot from the main board.
  1. Remove the three screws that secure the VGA/TV-out board.
  2. Then remove the VGA/TV-out board.
Acer Aspire 1350 Reassembly Cpu
  1. Unlock the CPU with a flat screwdriver.
  2. Then remove the CPU from the CPU socket.
